EMIRATES Airline

I will fly Emirates from Dubai to San Francisco later this year and that flight will be 16 hours as well. I have never been on a flight longer than 8 hours before, so am a bit concerned as to how I'll deal with sitting in an Economy Class seat that long. Upgrading to Business Class would be very, very costly, so that's not an option.

So what do you suggest to do? I'm thinking of choosing a window seat somewhere in the centre of the plane. That would allow me to rest my head against the "wall" at times and I would avoid the crying babies in the front rows, as well as the noise of the toilets in the back rows.

What do you think?

Re: EMIRATES Airline

sirkar, I would always recommend taking an aisle seat... you can get up move and around any time.. else you are mostly stuck with the window.... All major airlines while flying long haul recomend ppl taking short walking breaks during the flight, so its always good to move around the aircraft in such long ones for some sight seeing as well :)...

Emirates seat are suppose to be comfortable to so dont worry, even the economy would be fine...

I prefer a window seat for long flights as well. For me it has to be on the right side. I was able to get one both ways actually and did get a few hours of sleep. My advice.. get an interesting book to read, have an mp3 player with gigs of media handy and watch a lot of movies. They have on demand movies on each seat now that you can play, pause, rewind and forward.
