Hopefully, the next government will have the will to look after the needs of the economically poorest people of the country and to reform the economy, even if that means increasing taxation on capital gains and the income of “traders” and businessmen buddies. The perennial addiction of the country to begging bowl has to stop; money doesn’t grow on trees elsewhere either and it is not the responsibility of taxpayers in London or Los Angeles to bail out the lifestyles of Pakistani elite.
