The establishment is determined to keep PML-N out of power. It’s strategy seems to be to weaken PML-N through disqualifications and defections and cobble together a coalition of all pro-establishment parties. Unfortunately, PPP is cooperating with the establishment here. The chief justice seems to be on an anti-PML-N election campaign. I think the establishment will not hesitate to manipulate or rig the elections if it can get away with it. Will the establishment succeed? We shall see in a few months.
