sweetp your first banner was fine size wise. the second one i'm afraid is a little bit too big with the lenght and width

cute banner UBR…work on the animated one. i’m sure it would have turned out awesome 
when you start a new image, make sure you make the height 100 pixels, and the width 310-320 pixels. that will be your canvas size. fit your images in the canvas of that size. make the images smaller or bigger as you see fit, so everything fits in the canvas.
the banners that you have right now are way too big for the header at the top of the website.
are you using photoshop?

go to image --> attributes --> in the width box type 310, in the height box type 100
make sure under the UNITS heading the pixels button is clicked.

you've got 2 banners that are the same. did you save them with the same file name?
