The most populous and democratic Arab country now takes a firm stance against Assad. A weaker position than I had hoped though - I was looking for a token gesture at least of supplying weapons and training to the rebels.

Still, the government position that it will not oppose Egyptian citizens who wish to go and fight in Syria is a start.

It is very weak of the Egyptian government in my view, how can you say if any egyptians want to go fight in Syria go ahead?

they should sending the Egyptian Army to help the Syrian people and supporting the revolution in Syria.

I not singling out Egypt all the so called muslim countries in region have betrayed and let down the muslim people of Syria.
