Craigslist is another one but the difference is that if you are looking to sell/buy something, you post it along with desired price, pictures etc and if someone is interested, they will reply. In craigslist, however, you deal with people in your neighborhood and meet them in person instead of shipping. This will also help you avoid the scam (which goes on in form of cashier checks etc).
