No I am not joking but was not as bad as you assumed it. We were using it as a band aid because there is no band aid which can cover two whole fingers of a kid.
It was yucky so he would not suck on his fingers and it would also serve as a reminder to him.At times He would himself come to mama or daddy asking to put tape on fingers because he wanted to get rid of that habit too.
