it is mentioned in sunan Abu Dawud regarding how the prophet peace be upon him told a companion Uqbah may Allah be pleased with him while they wer traveling to recite"I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn," and "I seek refuge in the Lord of men." He then said to Uqbah use them when seeking refuge in Allah, no one can use anything to compare with them for the purpose. Uqbah said I heard him reciting them when he led the people in prayer.
