Re: Dua for finding a job
Job system in Canada sucks! they ask graduates to have 2 years of experience and they don’t understand that without job they wouldn’t get the experience.
I would suggest that you should try to volunteer in organization which are remotely related to your field. What you need is a step in the door and once you have it, you will be get going. The other approach you can try is try contacting “recruitment” agencies. You gotta find what agencies specializes in your field
If nothing works then as someone already suggested, do a college diploma. Perhaps Sheriden or Seneca might have somtehing for you. But only do the one which has co-op/intern opportunities. Don’t do a diploma just for the hell of it. If it doesn’t provide you co-op/intern opportunity then it will be waste of money and your time.
if you don’t mind, may i ask which university did you graduate from ? and which organizations did you do your internsehip/volunteer.
Thank you for replying. I graduated from Carleton University - Ottawa. I volunteered with Oxfam, was also a member of Deca.
However, my internship was back home (Pakistan) but it was related to my field - although I doubt it would be beneficial here.
