Thank you for replying. I graduated from Carleton University - Ottawa. I volunteered with Oxfam, was also a member of Deca.
However, my internship was back home (Pakistan) but it was related to my field - although I doubt it would be beneficial here.

Exactly - thats the issue. After doing Masters, I was expecting that all companies will honour my experience from Pakistan but they didnt. So it is kind a given that none of the company will honour your volunteer experience.

Now, what you need to do is to get your step in the door. Get into a college which provides an internship or co-op. I will send you a pm for some way to earn extra bucks but it wouldn’t help you to get a job here.
