The ICC decision only affects series involving India. i.e. There will be no Hawk-Eye technology (as both boards need to agree) during the forthcoming England-India series.

Players won’t be able to challenge LBW decisions if they felt the ball pitched outside leg stump or was going to miss the stumps. No Hawk-Eye means no line referrals. They would however still be able to challenge LBWs if in their opinion the ball hit the bat first and then the pad as Hot Spot technology is still available

Since all the other boards seem to have no problems with ball-tracking technology, I expect to see both Hawk-Eye and Hot Spot used in other bilateral series

I don’t think this decision is for Indian games only. It seems like a universal rule for ALL ODIs and tests..
