Lajawab, why do you mullahs always get so defensive when someone criticizes the way of muslims in different parts of the world. If you are against this aspect of Arab culture, then nod and move on out of the thread. Why bring in the US into all this?

I know that you’re just trying to put things in perspective, but it gets really annoying that when legit criticism is raised against muslims, that muslims begin pointing to the West’s problems.

We’re all imperfect. By your reasoning, no one should be criticising, since no one is perfect. If that’s the case, you should keep your mouth closed more often

Let's not confuse crime reporting with crime.

Women in Western societies are free to bring charges against an abuser. There are whole systems of support for victims. In many Arabian countries a woman will not be supported, she will be harassed, ridiculed or beaten further. Everything possible is done to keep her from reporting a crime. Then if she does report it, it is not prosecuted.

Flinging statistics in this case is worse than worthless.

Lajawab care to defend the Pakistani Tribal courts that routinely pass down judgment and punishment onto women and their families because they have been raped?

And Lajawab perhaps you've never been to America but the system there is built to protect women from violence and inequality and while there certainly is a lot of trash to be picked up in America there's a dump right across the way and when the smell drifts in this direction expect complaints and rest assure that in due time that dump will be cleaned up.

Sauidis are on the right track, I have been saying forever…women belong in kicthen and at home raising children. if they need something they should ask a mahrem person to get it for them. They cannot be exposed to all the vile out there in the world…its only for men to enjoy.

Women are the biggest fitnah, the decision of not letting them drive is Xcellent.

Quote the Hadith reference please, Iam sure u r reading erroneous re-engineered literature cause it contradicts the Quranic teachings. Dont hide behind the hadith and hv some respect of the women of this world.
