I do agree that it is not declared haram in Quran directly, I have had a debate in these forums about it already.
But culturally it is haram in Muslim countries appropriately so and it should be. Quran says it has less of benefits and more of bad and this is good enough reason for me to stay away from it and consider it haram for me.

niether mon, I have a cold not significant enough to skip a roza but wanted something at sehri time to help with the congestion and all, so it was one of em 8 hour or whatever syrups but it had some alcohol in it. :(
