Re: Dreamers - AagTv?
Ok i get it
Aag TV is banned-because they started showing IPL matches despite the fact that the channel only had the license to show entertainment progs like music etc BUT NOT a sports prog. fair enough.
Geo super is banned (stopped it self)- because geosuper requested for the uplinking. pemra didnot reject their request instead asked them to provide them technical details about the program for which they require the uplinking. geosuper didnot give them those details but stopped its own transmission. pemra didnot stop the transmission (as geosuper still has the landing right with which they can show their normal transmission).
“geo super has no permission to uplink a program from pakistan”----i am failing to understand the meaning of uplink. Can someone explian it in simple words? cheers
uplinking mean to broadcast program live.
in case of geosuper, they are not technically allowed to uplink from pakistan as they dont have such clause in license issued by PEMRA.
