Dr. Who (New Series)

I agree to what you said and also that he's cute. :D

Hey no one needs a good looking Dr!!! A good looking companion will do just fine!

Anyway behold the weeping angels for they are many!!!

Cant wait for this Sat. :)

What part of 'in my opinion' do you need me to clarify?

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

Ok, I officially eat my hat.

I watched episode one and erm...I liked it.

I still think David was the best doctor ever and always will be.

But yeh, I suppose the writing is still brilliant...

You dont! Its your opinion which you are entitled to. Im just telling you what I and what others have said about Matt Smith.

Wait till you see the next few episodes. You'll be eating a few more hats!

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

I only have one hat. :snooty:

I still don’t like Matt. I like Amelia Pond.

I completely agree, after the frst ep I was like “David who?”

Why can’t we have some eye candy as well? :pcg:

My favourite part of the last ep was when the doctor clocked on that all the statues were angels. Seriously, when he told everyone to switch off their torches and then he switched his off for like a sec and they all moved! I was like :hayaa:

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

were i the only who was scared of the angels?????? man they were frighting!!

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

I really don't like how the assistants start falling in love with the Dr. That isn't how it was in the older episodes .... (talking about the 70s and 80s). First Billie Piper, then Martha Jones and now Amelia Pond. I think it sort of ruins the storyline ... but I suppose they are trying to make it 'modern'. Urgh.

Because he's so charming. :D

I didn't like the weeping angles episode though. ....looking forward to see the vampires.

This wasnt love though....This was lust. Amy Pond's full on action is quite a turn from the subtle crush that the other assistants have previously had.

This is a turn from a "Kids" version of Dr Who that its supposed to be.

Lets wait and see....

I have only seen the last episode once. Will watch it again.

BTW did anyone else there was someone else when Amy is sitting by herself and the Dr approaches?

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

^No. Let me check.

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

hey maybe someone can tell me if i am right...anyway here goes When Amy is in the forest and her eyes are closed. she needs comforting, so the 11th doctor comes and holds her hand and tells her to remember somethig about when she was a little girl.. the thing is.. the doctor's lost his jacket (and he does for the whole episode at least) and yet u can see he's wearing one.. (come to alter the time stream/rewrite events in time?) also, he seems to be practically whispering... trying to not get the attention of the guards?

what do you guys think?

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

I watched it!

River is really interesting. Will be good to see her again.

Didn't like Amy at the end tho. She is meant to be getting married!

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

^Yeah....but she's not married yet.

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

^ Well that makes it ok then! ;)

I think Amy's affection for the doctor that she displays at the end of the ep is different to what we have previously seen. Whereas previous companions were always in awe of the doctor and were in "love" with him, here we see something different. Amy's not in love with the doctor she just wants a memorable experience with the man who just saved her.

Also it also helps that shes a stripogram..... :)

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

^lol

Re: Dr. Who (New Series)

This was a poor ep IMO. The CGI should have been left out....and i didn't particularly warm to how the monster was destroyed by Amy.

That said the sword fight scene was hilarious.

Yes! I recognised this, his sleeves are rolled up as well even though a few seconds earlier they were down. When I tried to explain it to my family they said it was probably just a continuity error and that I was going overboard with the clue hunting. I honestly believe the jacket thing was there for us to spot, I really think it's the doctor trying to sort out past events or something. Also, remember at the end of the first ep when there's a scene of the young Amy again but this time she can hear the Tardis coming but then the older Amy wakes up as it was a dream? We now that the doctor never came back for her when she was younger so what was up with that scane? Maybe I'm reading into this too much :D
