Always thought that, too, prototype but a lot of brides make an entrance in a doli on their mayoon, mehndi and shaadi.
To me, it is more appropriate for an exit.
^ i agree with mahismart! i would lovee to have an exit like Paro did in Devdas... except not the same situation. :X

My fiance loves the idea. I'm not too big on it -- in fact, I don't fancy it at all. Anyway, I'm doing it for his sake and since he knows I like doings things differently, he has gotten me a Glass Doli for the wedding. Its quite wonderful, I admit. Nothing like the flowers and traditional type.
A glass dholi... i have never seen one of those... do you have pix?

I think dolis are so tacky. I am sorry but you are no maharnai living in the Mughal era...get with the times! It just looks like you're trying too hard and most brides look really awkward sitting in a doli...it's just weird!
