Sure. Piercing is essentially mutilation as well. You asked for religious reasoning and give it to you. Now you decide to reject that based on "someones" interpretation, so its a free for all right? my ex gf had her belly button peirced when she was 16, and her parents never found out lol.
later she got a small butterfly tattoo on her shoulder/back.
tattoos on girls on their lower back are known as "tramp stamps"
I suppose a tattoo is ok if its in an area which is hidden by clothing, for your partners eyes only.
now tongue peicings, thats another thing...

I've ehard the same thing tooo, that tats are not allowed in Islam. It's considered self mutiliation and therefore is haram.

in the quran it does not say tattoos are haram-but in islam anything that causes pain to the body and any images printed on ur body is haram- it causes inconvinience to the body and it is very un-islamic-- and btw- pak-one-- i dont think its right to say tatoos are trashy- its the area as to where they are put- if sumone has it in a trashy looking place then u can call it trashy but i def disagree with u calling everbody trashy if they have a tattoo...

Whereas coming to the Islamic ruling, the Quran makes no specific mention of tattoos.
The verse:** "…will command them (his devotees) to change what Allah has created…”** (An-Nisa’: 119) is vague. It could refer to anything from building dams, to cutting down trees, to wearing make-up (which is Islamically allowed) to shaving one’s body hair.
Which is what is so beautiful about our deen. It allows personal choice and freedom.

My post took me all of 4-5 minutes to reply. Anyway, it's not a non-sequitur (spelt this way pak-one). You say tattoos are for "black/white/brown" trash. Shak09 has a tattoo. The conclusion is very clear.
The fact that you couldn't care what an individual does is irrelevant - the premise is clear, the conclusion even clearer. You're backtracking.
