religion is there for "spiritual" and "social order" requirements..
science in the religious books was basically there to put
1) sings from the divine
2) confirmation of presence of a divine source
information present in most religious books - adulterated or not - has some aspects which were not clear to people of that time.. for they were signs for people in future to reaffirm their faith in the existence of The Divine (btw - Allah literally translated means "the divinity")
not every single scientific discovery is present in the religious books.. as it has no bearing on the "spiritual" and "social order" aspects of individual or society.
You ask.. is there mention of dinos in Quran.. in the same token .. is there mention of
1) electricity - the most basic and most important discovery/invention of the last 150 years.
2) quantum theory
3) theory of relativity (though some people have claimed there is a verse in Quran to this effect... but I am skeptical of their interpretation.)
4) television
5) motor car, steam engine, automobiles etc.
6) the internet
(though some Jewish researcher says that the "666" - the sign of the Beast - stands for "www" as "waow - the alphabet" is the sixth letter of the alphabet in hebrew ("waow" letter is also present in urdu/arabic)
anyways.. the presence of any of the above things has not effect on the basic principles of spiritual enlightenment and social awareness and orer.
therefore do not look to Religious books as the source of all knowledge.. as that is not he intended purpose of them. they are guidebooks on how to live our life.

Arabic and hebrew are semitic sister languages. They have a lot similariities and words, same is true for alphabet.
