Depends.

After all, people on the net sitting in front of their monitors are also humans and have real life relationship in their lives as well...

Pen-friendship used to be normal 10-15 years ago and I am sure there are still avenues where people do that...

I have a maamoo who made a pen-friend who turned out to be my father's student. Since then, he is very much known in the family and almost part of our gatherings back home...

it really depends. If you can learn a person from his words, it may mean something... but then, it depends from person to person.. for many people, net is just a time pass.. for many it is part of socializing and in the end meet up with same net friends in real life as well hence, the tradition of guppy meet...

Pros and Cons are there but it's the matter of personal opinion...!

i normally dont share my personal life with my net friends .. everyday things, yes. but not my deep feelings etc that are very personal to me ...

i have on occasion shared with a couple of ppl ... and i kinda feel let down =( i doubt i will want to share again

its not about that ... i know i can leave the online life with a click of a button ...

but i dont know .. i think it was a trust issue ... and i didnt feel as though they trusted me in return ... one person just disappeared from the face of the earth and i think i was hurt by that ... i wasnt even given an explanation as to why ... sigh

reminds me of a time when someone dared me to post my number and i just posted anything random (seriously thought it was random numbers).. Someone called it and said it was a correct number ...

i had to edit my post asap .. hehe
