Wow, people are getting rather defensive and confusing two very different things. There is a world of difference between sharing your own experiences and prescribing medical advice. Commenting that “xyz thing worked for me, you might want to consider asking your doctor about it” is quite different from telling someone “you’re have abc problem? oh, just take xyz thing.”

Also, I don’t think pwner is solely referring to the standard advice given to all pregnant woman, which is readily available everywhere, but advice on more delicate medical concerns which are a bit more complicated and require a bit more investigation that simply listening to someone else’s experiences.

Since Pwner quoted my post I felt I needed to defend it Let him state whatever else he’s referring to. So far only my comment and the advice in the parenting section (which is all about advice on prenatals, tips for nausea, and how to relieve a colic baby of gas) has been raised as his concerns.
