My parents always did. When I was younger I grew up thinking it was normal for parents to admit their mistakes and apologise. It was only when I turned about 11ish and I found out my friends’ parents would NEVER apologise to them.. I was like 
Hats off to my mum & dad for being human eh.. lol
I think parents should apologise when they are wrong or when they’ve overreacted.. it teaches their kids a LOT, trust me.
