Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

thats right

good point.

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

Fraudz and Hyperactive, this bullehshah dude is neither Shi'ah nor Sunni, or even Paki... I bet the guy is some Shaitanpreet Kutta from across the Wagah border. He's pretending to be an Urdu speaking Shi'ah from Karachi-Pak but most Urdu speaking people I know haven't even heard of Bulleh Shah so plz iss ki baaton mein mat aao, 'bulleshah' seems the obvious choice for a pseudonym for his kind to pose as Pakis.

We have our differences, woh hamaarey aapas ki baat hai, don't give them the pleasure of seeing us argue.

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

thanks bro, i have no intention to get into a sectarian 'fight' whether it is from someone who belongs to a sect among muslims, or whether it is someone who is trying to cause friction.

argument- i.e. discussing different aspects of some situation, discussion is okay, I have no intention of getting in fights. :)

PS: baba bulleh shah is known among urdu speaking community and specially after some songs and all more ppl know about him.

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

This BS guy is just confused that's all...All that propaganda and media can influence even a smart guy and they start uttering everything from Fox and CNN so what can you expect from this simple chap...

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

**General Zia ul Haq also had done his share as well. **

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

I know for a fact, it was made clear to have the policy not to welcome Shia students and other various none-Sunni sects. In some student orgs, its even in their "aaiin". Its a "closed" association. I had huge arguements with some of them in scandinavia.

I hate to label myself as Shia or Sunni or whatever.
Muslim should do it. Who doe it concern what sect I belong to?

Its really sad to see, young socalled educated people being very narrow minded and PRACTICING the same BS as their families from Pakistan or whatever 3rd world country.

If they are so firm in their faith, why are they afraid of any who is differently than them? And when you ask them, why they practice something or activities that has nothing to do with Islam and kinda making parents insecure.....you get a door slammed at your face.....thats how they handle questions....lol

I must confess, at times, our Muslim brethen judge each other more than Europeans or atheists..... Yeah, sorry to speak out loud and try not to take it personal here at Forum.

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

So that gives every 3rd world country in Asia where Sunnis are majority the loving right to kill/torture/etc ALL other various Islamic sects under the sun? Even in a country as Bahrain where Shias are the majority, they get to feel the love of Sunni runned goverment...lol

I cant understand why a majority feels threatened by other minorities?

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

Astaghferullah, Ramadan ka to koi ehtaram karo.

I was in town today Eid shopping and this tanned up hunk with dirty blonde hair, emerald green eyes and ripped jeans kept giving me the eye, he looked kind of Romanian or something but I kept my gaze lowered, reminds me of an ex "Hindu" woman from my maternal village who converted to Islam, before Islam they ate anything (wild cats/mice you name), then they became Muslim and started visiting Muslim families, one day she was round for a cup of tea at my maternal family's house and see's a cat and says "maano dikha le muchen, jo tere aur mere beech mein kalimah na hota to ab tak mein ne teri haandiya paka li hoti".

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

Brother Sweet_taboo, Im not here to judge you..... You made it hard for yourself to get your point of view across by sharing your "taboo" part of life/events/etc..... Perhaps a new ID would help you?

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

I think bulleshah asked the same question and I had already answered what I had meant initially, even though I did not feel that an explanation was needed.

did you miss the following post of mine or does that leave something to be desired in terms of clarification, or did you just miss it. I think the post leaves no major questions on where I stand when we talk about religious and sectarian oppression.

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

Chill out aapi, men ne yeh to naheen kaha ke mein ne kuch kiya tha, ya phir yeh ke kuch karna jaaez hai.

Jahaan tak feelings ki baat hai, unn pe pehre naheen lagaaey ja saktey, mujhe naheen lagta ke sirf feelings se gunaah milta hoga..

Re: Do you think the Shias, Bohris and other sects feel left out in the West?

Well, Ive worked with youth with identity problems all sort of categories. I didnt comment your exposure..... I dont mind taking hits by sharing from my personal experience now and then. The point is, I wasnt the culprit. Now your part is different here. If you are ok with it, then so be it. I respect your decision.
