While making this clever little nugget of a point in your haste you must have forgotten that if someone has a crush on someone else it doesn't imply they know the other person. I had a friend who liked someone who traveled with him on the train and he never knew her name.
As for dementia, had someone used cancer or Aids to make a point it'd be pretty shameful. Have a word with yourself.
