Do you need a Support Group?

I'm exactly the same! :)

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

Never been to many gatherings, so dont have the courage/confidence for doing the 'going around and introducing yourself and get to know strangers thingy' ... not very comfortable doing that yet. So yea i do need to have someone i can be with.

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

Support group? HA! I got my own Bollywood wannabe posse! :D

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

Khana kha ke wapas a jate hain.

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

so are they wannabe bollywood or wannabe posse?

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

Like others have said, if it's a super tight/clique-ish gathering, and I'm not a part of the particular circle, than I just as soon not go at all if I'm not going to have a bestie or friend at my side (and yes, it is super irritating and annoying when that clique-ish behavior is coming from 30+ yr olds).

That being said, I have no qualms about going it alone in social situations. I'm perfectly comfortable striking up conversations with people I don't know.

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

You see the guys that hang around the hero and do those horrible dance numbers? Yup. That is us.

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

I think we've seen you lot on Youtube. Do you know Awais Lovely?

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

Eeeeeeee! You're Govinda of Afghanistan aren't you?

Come on, do a little hip shake and we'll grade your dancing skills :D

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

I'm fine alone and with friends.. I'm friendly however at this point in my life I don't wanna meet new People and make friends., dont have time. Is that *****y? I'll be nice but it so much that I will swap numbers etc, in the past I was too much of a social butterfly..now it's quality rather than quantity....

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

My first guppy meet, Sept 2002, Alladin's in Mississauga. I was scared deleted, mostly because I wouldn't have any of my support group there. But that was then. I may have evolved since.

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

^ I think you've evolved quite a bit since then......we all have....

Re: Do you need a Support Group?

As long as I have my phone with me, im ok! :D

I like meeting new people, even if I dont end up being 'besties' or seeing them again, but I dont understand why certain people would have (high) expectations when meeting new people. Open mind and nothing to lose attitude is the best approach when meeting new people in social situations. You can't expect to make besties after one or two meetings, its not fair.

I'm the kind of lass that will make a new friend at the cash desk in Asda or get out of my seat and walk across the train to give a middle aged man a tissue so he can stop bloody well sniffing.
