Incident one: Was driving to my Phuppo's house in Lahore after visiting a friend in Model Town. It was around 1 AM. Cop pulled me over, asked me for my driving license, etc., questioned me about this and that for around 15 minutes. I patiently answered all his questions until he asked whose house I'm going to. Told him my Phuppa's name who was a retired Brigadier of the Pak Army. And suddenly the guy goes: "Acha phir tussi jaao."
Incident two: Was driving to my Taya's house in Pindi after attending a wedding in Islamabad. The rest of the story is very similar to the first one. Just replace Phuppa=retired Brigadier with Taya=retired Colonel.
In both cases it was late in the night and I was driving alone. That might have been the reason they pulled me over in the first place.
The wife had been to Dubai. She said the local (Arab?) Ladies consider it their right to jump ahead in queues. And cabs. Just go right past you onto axcab you have hailed.
A relative talked abt lawlessness in Kuwait ( this wasxfew yrs ago). If you got into an accident with a local, you got arrested - no mater if it was locals fault. So the locals drive very aggressively.

This is true. Not only the local ladies, but also the men.
