Re: Do you know who I am?!

oh yesss…all the time…when I worked in Abu Dhabi, you get that when you work in the Hotel Industry..specially when you have lots of bade baap ke bigare hue aulaad coming… and sometimes it is the baaps and the maas themselves who are like that.

or they will say “I know your..manager, director, GM, ect.”

I have no patience for ppl like that…

I remember one event where this guy, who was some big shot from CNN who came to check-in without his ID, and I refused to, and he started going off on me, “Do you know who I am?”, because it is my job to be polite, I just looked at him and said “We need your ID to check you in.” then ofcoz the next thing they love to say is “I want to speak to your manager.” ofcoz my manager told him the same thing…so he HAD to go get his ID.

Ofcoz there was another one..it was a swedish diplomat, this was when I was working on an Island, and he missed the boat to the island coz HE was late…then he started screaming at the girl in the reception asking her to turn around the boat!!! BTW, he was given a complimentary room…it got so ridiculous that the GM found out, and he came to greet this guy to the docks and told him, “I heard that you screamed at the girls in the reception, and you made one of them cry? So this is how it is going to work from now, you either pay for your room or you leave this Island!!”

It was so hilarious the guy left the Island…it was a 5hr drive to get to us and then another 5hr drive fo him to get home

:k:
