Windows response: It's not practical.
Mac response: I was using yellow pads before Southie brought them up.
70% of Mac users would jump off a bridge if their friends did. 25% claim they already jumped off of a bridge before it was mainstream. 5% are saving up to jump off a taller bridge next month.

Yes I do judge people who like to show off their expensive products. Most people who own a Mac don't have a clue why they bought one other than it's high price and looks "pretty."

^not true at all. Most aren’t showing it off and MANY Mac users have tested it out before and love its user-friendlyness. Another thing I love about Macs is that they never look outdated even after several years. Look at the Macbooks (or iBooks as they were called) from approx. 2003:

I do think girls with Macs come out as blondes, who don’t know jack $H@t about computers! 
Generally, Macs do convey an elitist impression over all with Mac vs. PC campaigns furthering that image.
PS I would kill for a black Mac, which was a rare thing, but I already have a darker Vaio and alienware. I wonder if I am considered awesome when I am on my AW at school?
@M: come on, the white macbooks were just average, though the unibody Airs and MBPs are sexy even when it is unpractical just to change a battery.

Yup, my Vaio has been handed over to the kids, while I make do with my job issued Lenovo..hence the lobbying for a MacBook Air

I've said this before - my whole group has MACs because our supervisor won't buy us anything else. He is showing off because he likes us to be the 'MAC' group at conferences. The guys in my group who have ipads are massive tossers. Like one guy paid extra to upgrade to an Air, even though he said himself that he's handicapping himself.

Wouldn't upgrading to an Air be more versatile than using an ipad? At the end of the day, laptops can do more than a tablet.

Yes.... except we're supposed to be doing science so you'd want a pro. ipads/iphone are personally owned because they've all got our super's apple craze bug.

^yup, iPads have the accessory of late. The laptops on morning shows have now been replaced w/ iPads, too.

with the coming of mac in market, other laptops have become cheaper and faster. I have used mac, and frankly speaking, theres nothing extraordinary about mac that I found. I bought an hp dv6 now with awesome specs and i'm in love with it.
