I used to have a mustache when I used to be in high school, even my barber was very impressed with my mustache, and asked me never to shave it; but then I shaved it(I started looking like one of those badmash/gunda from the Sindhi dramas)...

In US mustache is somewhat gay. In Pakistan it is Macho. In Islam it is haram. With a goatee is looks okay I guess.

Well the proper way to have a beard in Islam ( some one please confirm this for me ) is to have a full beard and then trim the mustache to a minimum. So the mustache never gets to the upper lip and never touches the food you eat. SOmthing like that.

Cos i heard it was disrespectful…back in the day non-Muslims i think, made fun of Muslims with their beards, so they wud shave the hair on their sides (to make a goatee) as to mock and make fun of Muslims 
Duno if it’s true…
But i like goatees on some guys, if it suits them…or the thin jawline type of beard…moustaches, esp. ones kept by men in Pakistan are ugly hehe!
