Yes, I do and everything it stands for 17.54%
No, I only oppose the current government's policies 64.91%
No, I love America and everything it stands for including the government's policies 12.28%
I don't care one way or the other 5.26%
personally i used to look forward to christmas and not thanksgiving in school. thanksgiving was just one more holiday. christmas was all out fun with santa sahab coming on a camel and giving out toys.
going back to the topic, would the people who hate america in-toto explain their reasons?
bear in mind that our foreign policy too is not representative of the brightest of our minds, of our most honest people, of our highest ideals, our unflinching pride or our unquestionable humanity.
i wouldnt want to be hated for something yahya khan, benazir bhutto or zia ul haq did.
This is a silly poll. Of-course many people are going to give a politically correct answer. It's like asking Hindus in Muslim countries, 'do you like Muslims?'
For those saying they only hate the ** current ** government's policies, do you limit yourself to the ** current administration (i.e. GWB??) **
If so, I find that position to be disengenuous. Did you support Iraq sanctions when they were imposed under Clinton? Did you support the US presence and relationship in Saudi when Clinton was President? Was Clinton's Israeli policy and pumping of $4 billion in aid to that country OK with you? How about the policies of GW I. Or Ronald Reagan? Was our indifference to starvation, genocide and disease in Africa more palatable to you under a different administration?
As to all the big issues I hear the "Antis" complaining about, they emanate from policies that have been pretty consistent over multiple administrations.
So tell me, is the ** "current government" ** that you don't like the democratic version we installed in 1776? If not, what former government did you approve of and support?
I don't know how anyone can "love America and everything it stands for", does that mean every policy the gov. passes you support it?
What does 'Hate America" even mean? It's a country of every culture in the world, if you want it to be. Those who hate actually countries are an interesting bunch who could likely use mental help.

Good points. I guess you have to read between the lines a little and resolve internal inconsistencies in your own mind. If you love America and everything it stands for, you love America, in part, because it stands for allowing dissent over government policies. Thus, choice 3 is internally inconsistent.
As to what "hating America" means, it's sort of like obsenity (some US Supreme Court Justice could only say: "I know it when I see it.") And, I agree, those who just plain hate America (or any other country or practitioners of any given religion, etc.) do need mental help.
But, I still think choice 2 does nothing but offer a fig leaf to cover up a much deeper anti-Americanism. If the "current" policies that everyone "hates" span 5, 6 and 7 different administrations, how can one say their "hatred" deals with only "current" policies? Such "current" policies are not current at all. At some point, they become fixed foundations as to what America stands for and believes in.
ok just wondering, please answer honestly .
did the mods really think about doing this poll themselves or was there a push from those watching this website very closely(hope u know what i mean)? it seems very fishy to me, and it came out of the blue, as if someone had maybe forced it outta u guys.
