^yah, that is the reason Prophet Mohammad PBUH has asked to do that. I mean, why else right? it is a very very difficult thing to do for anyone but it keeps one's heart refined and focused on their purpose in life.

^I am not a muslim, so cannot comment that portion. But the lesson I learned from your post will serve me wellgoing forward. (Where were you 20 years ago? I could have used this advice :))

^hahah oopsy, I apologize. Basically, the message is to forgive and forget not for the other person, but to keep your own heart refined.

Forgive if necessary. Forget no. Then again I have refused to talk to a friend for 8 months because of the bull**** he pulled. He had to apologize a few times. Now we are good. It depends on the severity of the injustice.
