There are many things far more threatening to the free will of the individual than theoretical physics :)
State oppression, censorship, the lack of monetary sources to pursue the things that you would choose of your free will, mega-corporations controlling media sources, rigid religious indoctrination, and of course the greatest hindrance to male free will: the tendency of women to change their mind:)
