^exactly. The way I see it, it's my money. Why would I ever ask him for my money? I already know he's very caring and loving since he has put my name on as a joint account holder.
And yes if u have to ask him for money then u r dependent on him. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to be dependent on him, as spouses we are dependent on our significant other for many things but I don't think it's wise to always have to ask him for money.
