Do people in USA ever travel in trains ?

I am jealous, dost.

Re: Do people in USA ever travel in trains ?

the northeast corridor trains are quite popular, ares between boston and dc.

too bad :(
i took a few train trips in india... and made a coffee table book with the pics i shot. the best part abt train travel in desiland is u can perch on the doorstep of the train and shoot all kinds of scenes. once i stood in the doorway to take a pic of a waterfall.. the train passed by it so close that i was completely drenched by the spray! u can't get that kinda fun out of USA trains, can u?

however ur trip account makes me want to plan a US-Canada train trip. if u have a travelogue online, i'd love to read it.

Train travel is slow and does not fit into the travel plans
probably because of long distances - taking a plane makes more sense

Oh yeah and in UK,

I live very close metrotown Mall :-) Just on the other side of Boundary road so technically living in Vancouver and not in Burnaby..
