I honestly don’t see that to be true, at least in the experiences I’ve had..where the waiter was treated very nicely but the friends/spouse/family member weren’t treated very nicely.

I’ve seen several examples of this as well…where any outsider is treated with the utmost respect and family members are not…I think these folks are exceptions to the rule Sara…
