Happens all the time, or am I the only one who did stuff in my college days that I am not too proud of?
I know others as well, including a dude who cheated me for $700 and years later paid that plus interest and apologized profusely for his behavior at that time, etc. Came across a number of cases of people who became better people as time went on.

Religious point of view:
If bad people do not posses Nafs-e-Lawwamaa… then, they would never feel bad.
Why One would not have Nafs-e-Lawwamaa? One who let the temptations and selfishness take over his/her soul will lose it, and will carry on with Nafs-e-Ammaarah.
Having said that, keep in mind the hadeeth of the Prophet:saw2: in mind in which he mentioned that hearts of people is in between the two fingers of Allah.
However, also to keep the context, Allah guides those who want to be guided (posses nafs-e-lawwaamah)…
All in all, bad people normally may not feel bad if all they have is nafs-e-ammaarah. There are bad people who continue to carryon with bad aamaal but kept on feeling guilty within from themselves. They are potenital people who reform their ways in life.

i mean then there are things like the womanizing, boozing, lifestyle as well, would you consider that bad?
