Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
M i am in with you guys, pls let me know via pm how u wanna do this, also does this site carry any other great stuff for skincare that you guys recommend.
automne: ADC carries Retin-A. If I remember correctly, I think the .025% cream is like $3.
As for the group ordering.....you gals may want to consider buying multiple items to get the best deal. Last month when I placed my order...I ordered 10 tubes of RA and 2 bottles of careprost (I don't use this often). This way I'm stocked up for the next year easily. My total was around $75 but if you do the math...I paid like $6 per item.
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
I just made a new thread, post there if you're interested, guys! Sana, I also posted a link for reviews so you can get more info!
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
be careful with the viscosity of final product coz if its too thin, it'll drip from lash to upper lip and y'all gawn be like M.

Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
Paheli, help me here. I don't have any skincare routine at all right now. I would like to start one (something really really simple) I have good skin mashAllah (never needed a facial, no blackheads or whiteheads, no crowsfeet) but I would like to minimize pores. And the only thing is that I have started looking like I am 30. I never looked my age due to my skin so what can I do inorder to make my skin look younger than it is.

cant i get in uk...
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
^It doesn't get worse, it just goes back to it's normal self. But that's why applying it once or twice a week should be enough for upkeep after you've reached your desire length.
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
did u notice any lashes falling out.....
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
I haven't used it but have done a lot of research on it. The lashes fall out but not regularly, just the way lashes normally do.

Firstly, there is nothing you can do to change the size of your pores. That's just a scientific fact. But there are products that make them *look" smaller tempolorarily such as different primers.
As for preventing aging of the skin (ie. fine lines, wrinkles etc)....Retin-A. :) If you're placing an order at ADC for Careprost, also get 3-4 tubes of .025% Retin A cream. Start using it night 2x/week (don't slather it on....a little goes a long way). See how your skin handles it. In the beginning, the skin might get dry/flaky/a little red etc. b/c it needs to get used to the RA. 2X/week should be a good start....but on nights when you apply it....IF the skin is super dry...then an hour later put on moisturizer. But otherwise, don't apply anything on top of RA. And on the other nights when you're not using RA...keep the skin moisturized.
In the morning....make sure you apply sunscreen b/c the RA makes the skin super sensitive to the sun (its best to avoid the sun as much as possible). Wear sunglasses! The skin around the eyes is really gentle and exposure to sun doesn't do it any good. Anytime I step outside the house in the day, I always have my big sunglasses on. If you're going to the beach or doing outdoor activities....wear a wide brimmed hat that shades your face. Once your skin adjusts to the RA....if you want...you can start looking into chemical peels....but for now...RA is the most simplest thing you can do for anti-aging.
For moisturizers...start looking into different types of oils to see which one interests you. I use Argan but others here use Rosehip and love it. There are other good choices too such as almond, avacado, macademia nut etc. Look at Gardenofwisdom.com to read of the oil and see if you can get smaller sizes of 2-3 to try it out.
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
^ Paheli, what about 0.05% and 0.1%? Will that be too harsh for the skin?
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
There is a masacara out that makes lashes appear long.

buy a clarisonic or any dupe n exfoliate with it. it will reduces pore plus use sun screen regularly.

In my opinion its a bad idea to start with .05% or .1%. This stuff is strong and can really irritate the skin if a higher % is introduced to skin without any previous preparation.
You can start with .025% 2x/week. Once you see that you skin is handling that well (ie. its not super dry/flaky/pinkish etc.).....you can increase that amount to 3x/week...then to 4x/week....up to a point where you're using it every-single-night if your skin can tolerate it. Once your skin gets to a point that it can tolerate .025% with absolutely no problem....then you can move upto .05% (if you want). And repeat the same process with .05% and once your skin can handle that with 0 irritation...then move upto .1%.
Re: DIY Lash Growth Serum
My mom and I got Retin-A Micro 0.04%, I applied it once and got kinda flaky skin the next day for a few days. I think I'm gonna apply it at night 2x/week and see how that works. Is it okay to apply almond oil as the moisturizer the rest of the days when I'm not applying it?
