there used to be some good watering holes in karachi, in the early 70’s. All the 5 star hotels had a bar/disco too.
not any more
now its more a “private” affair, on individual level
parties are a plenty - everywhere

i dont know what disco is, but recently a friend of mine shared this video on FB. i find it quite distrubing. not because what is happenign in Pakistan (because it not somethign new) but instead their action were all like an escape from reality.
people in the video dont realize that their strenght lies in their own ideology, and not in following someone elses standards.
no wonder we are so deprived and confused that we can easily be tagged with someone elses ideology, but not with our owns.

I think the really party crazy people probably take a 2 hour flight to Dubai on Friday morning, party the night away and come back on Saturday. It's not like someone from Liyari is going to these clubs, a person of certain income and class enjoys these things in Pakistan.
I wonder how they keep the chichoras or low class individuals who want to see girls in walayati dresses out.

Pakistani discos are too damn dangerous
guys with guns and sons of big shots will try to gate crash the party...and be rude to girls...etc....desis cant behave themselves in front of females....
thats why in toronto...i only go to mostly white clubs....where people r nice...not the crappy desi clubs like Besharam or Embassy
If anything, this video breaks the illusion that Pakistanis can dance.
Instead of clubs, there should be more lounges in PK, not just the hookah type places, but rather chill spots with some decent food, couches, and a smaller dance floor.
