have you ever seen a man on his rubber shoes or tennis shoes during wedding? well, i have and thats the most irritating wedding that i've ever seen. its like the biggest unformal wedding that i've ever seen.

show some ugly stuff from pakistani grooms...as i have seen in Pakistan many guys dont even know how to carry sharwani etc well ....and they end up looking like goofs on their wedding day....

That isn't just Indians...it's traditional in a lot of Muslim/Pakistani cultures. Some Urdu-speaking people, and Kashmiris definitely do it. The groom doesn't wear as much mehndi as the bride by any means, but he will wear a little bit (maybe on 1 finger) symbolically.

Only hot guys can pull it off and depends on which kind! some only look good on the ramp i agree!!! I bet pakistan is probably gonna start using colors and embroiderly sooner or later. its bound to happen.

While there are some Bollywood-stricken Pakistanis who are obsessed with copying any and all Indian trends, overall tastes are very different and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Indian clothes are (rightfully) seen as tacky in Pakistan and I really don't see why that's "bound" to change.

If anything, I think that as Indian society modernizes, they're going to adopt a more Western aesthetic with less gaudy embroidery and more muted colors.
