Disappointment for Pakistan in Asian Games

Re: Disappointment for Pakistan in Asian Games

Pakistan's hockey team has been decline for a good 12 years now. Their last major win in a hockey tournament was the Shahbaz Ahmed-inspired World Cup triumph in Sydney in 1994.

Pakistan paid dearly for wasting nine penalty corners, including seven in the second half.

They sacked five seniors, including captain Mohammad Saqlain and penalty corner expert Sohail Abbas for the Doha campaign in a bid to groom a young team for the Olympics. Maybe it's time to recall some of them.
