Direct Dinner

Re: Direct Dinner

Yup, have done it countless times and even hooked MIL to do that when we are the only ones at home. It is actually stress free Iftari.

this ramadan...khajoor or pani, soup any kind like hot & sour or corn or lentil etc. or fruit chaat ya phir chana chaat but any warm item is a must on most days then salaat dats it!

round 10-11 or 12 we used to have dinner and round 1 or 2 sleep!

sehri-water only

dats our ramadan routine!

Re: Direct Dinner

Weekdays - khajoor+ fruit chaat--> namaz and then dinner
Weekends - Iftaar --> Namaz --> More iftar Or dinner :D

Re: Direct Dinner

That is what I do.

Re: Direct Dinner

Hehe alot of you are still on the typical desi routine but i'm glad to see so many of you have actually bothered to pay attention to how we stuff ourselves with food during ramadan and then we wonder how we gained all that weight!

This ramadan i'm lovin' the fruits of my labour i.e. having finally convinced everyone at home to actually have proper dinner served at the iftar table and make that the final meal of the day. It wasn't easy though as its been a work in progress for the last few years, the first step being able to convince people to have din din at 8 instead of the usual pakistani style 11.

:k: , I was able to convince my wife long time ago. The kids love iftari , they do not eat dinner so we try to give them a balanced iftari , not just pakora or chaat.

Re: Direct Dinner

If you aviod fried and sweetened stuffs during Ramadan, you gain a lot - health wise!

Do your aftari with all the healthy stuff - dates, fruit juices, beans salads etc and then have your dinner after Isha. Do not eat phenies in Sehri.

It’s only one month… binge binge! :halo:

Re: Direct Dinner

for us we don't do dinner. We just do iftaar and that is filling for us that we don't need salan/roti/rice etc.
