Dil e Muzter

Re: Dil e Muzter

I actually liked this drama. What a horrible ending ! Really disappointing. What was the need to develop the character of Ahmer so much when at the end Sila was going back to Adeel ? Independence taught her nothing. So effectively , no matter how good Ahmer was too her she only wanted to be with Adeel. Great :smack:

Re: Dil e Muzter

I know this drama is a few years old but having watched it recently, I had to express my deep disappointment at how it ended.

Adeel was a negative character that refused to change his ways. He was still an angry, jealous and selfish man who somehow got rewarded with Sila plus child by saying sorry? How?

Unfortunately many Pakistani dramas (Shehr e Zaat is another) go down this route where the strong female lead somehow has to forgive and forget her husband’s abuse, affairs and stubbornness and learn to live on. It was slightly disturbing that Adeel’s disgusting traits were overlooked by the writer - at one point he even slaps Sila for some ridiculous reason and nothing is made of this. No comment, no consequence, nothing. This is just popularising domestic abuse. Whole episodes are dedicated to how he manipulates Sila by getting close with Zoya but apparently he is too innocent to see how inappropriately he is behaving.

And let’s not forget the final victim of Adeel…Zoya was the original antagonist but her patience with a man who verbally abused her, demanded food (he really loved his breakfast) and other wifely duties for over 5 years made her a saint in my eyes. Yet she was sent packing with divorce in hand. A woman who makes mistakes is beyond redemption I guess. Adeel, on the the other hand is allowed to run back to the now wealthy Sila and act like Zoya was just a bad dream!

The strangest thing is that such dramas are actually written by females who must be sadistic because their work just disgusts me. I will be careful to avoid such cr*p in future.

I think Pakistani dramas still have a long way to go.
