^ I am sorry Umer, was busy in the office and had no time to come online....
in this price range Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z10 definately is a better option, go for it...
Optical zoom is better, and a veryt decent design.
the only downside with both cameras is the hotshoe.. that mean you CAN'T use external flash with any of these two... which doesn't matter for some users.. but I will definately go for some camera which allows me to use external flash..
I haven't used Konica and have 1st hand experience with Fuji FinePix's supper CCD.. which is absolutly a beauty!! no doubts what so ever about its results! Think about S5000 if your budget allows you.
its so not bulky believe me.. a bit lighter then 6600.. a good phone indeed, try 6260… its a bit stylish but definately not Nokia 6280 the lipstick phone
One very important feature missing from this discussion is the sensor size.
All digital cameras use a sensor to capture the images. it serves as the 'digital film'.. however images are transferred to a storage card. The sensor size thus becomes the most important feature that determines image quality. Depending on how many pixels you want to stuff in a given sensor size; it's usually better to buy a camera with a large "sensor/pixels" ratio.
What Faisal observed was two cameras with almost identical sensor size, but one tried to stuff more pixesl in the same space (Z4) hence the degradation in the picture quality at higher ISO levels. (low light).
I'd recommend a digital camera with at least 3.2MP or higher on a sensore size of preferrably 1/1.8".
However most digicams in the market with 1/1.8" sensors come with at least 4MP.. so i'd suggest people go for that.. u can never have too many Megapixels.. just be prepared to buy a big hard drive for storage.
Yep… thats my hobby, and won some awards too. click here
My 1st digital Camera was FinePix2800z then in early 2002 I bought FinePix 4900z, which was 1st 6 Mega Pixel (effective) Camera in the market. since then using it and couldn’t find anything better.
Very soon I will be switching to Digital SLR … Olympus E1 most probably.
its Samsung S2300 camera phone with 3.2Megapix and 3X Optical zoom.

First off, forget about buying any digital camera that does not have an optical zoom lens. Why? Digital cameras without an optical zoom lens generally have very poor optics.

While i agree with the flexibility offered by optical zoom lenses.. the above is totally incorrect.
In fact, fixed lenses can avoid the compromise in quality that zoom lenses have to make. Fixed lens cameras like the film Olympus Stylus Epic can knock the socks off any optical zoom lens cameras in it's price range and even higher.
However u sacrifice the flexibility of an optical zoom.. and have to "zoom with your feet".
