Isn't betamax a cassette smaller than VHS. and it is not digital recording, right.

I am also thinking of a setup where the live speach can directly be saved/recorded on to the PC. So for that what kind software I would need to install, along with specialized recording device/instrument. and what should be the minimum PC hardware specification you recommend. Thanks.
