yes i know about Pakistanis, i am one of them. imo, the years of raj and Islam not being central in our lives has had the effect you see on us. the average pakistani can be away from Islam, or he can be a layman momin depending on where you are physically stood at the time. to be fair i have seen both.
there is peace and respect between the fiqhs, insh Allah that is evident from the replies thus far. even the advice to people is follow the one your community already uses.
this is too difficult for me , and it seems others to answer. basically what we do is forbid evil (what Allah SWT has forbidden) and enjoin good (what Allah SWT has commanded). Not having an Islamic state does not help, it adds to compromise and the results are restricted. it naturally leads to a state of division. however i think unlike the 1st post where you had a correct usage of ‘schools of thought’ this time you have gone overboard by including the shia? please do not force this interpretation of schools of thought, it is not acceptable
