We can consider those starfishes as people like me (in the Ummah) and the boy an example of scholars like Maulana Tariq Jameel, Dr. Zakir Naik......etc. who are trying their best to save as many people from fire of hell as many they can...(through the teachings of Quran and Sunnah)
The old man might be an example of people who have lost hope in the re-rising of the Ummah
