I don't think people would ask that question...no one I know has bothered to.

In our family - if one person did not fast for whatever reason (being sick, etc.) - we just keep quiet. We don't bug them and they never eat or drink in front of anyone - if they have to.

This doesnt happen anymore but when I was in college...for some odd reason this one guy used to ask me. I would get SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mad because the reason why Im not fasting is obvious but still...in front of everyone he would ask me.

I had to get the MSA Prez to tell him to shut up.

Yes, every Punjabi comes and tells Iraj that they are not fasting. Do people not sometimes read what they write?

Anyway, if by “punjabis” you are referring to those people that are working all day in fields, then they may not fast because of the nature of their work. Trying putting yourself in their shoes and you’ll understand.

One shouldnt be asking such a question…you should simply assume that another Muslim is fasting.

I know alooot of ppl who dont fast in ramazan. I think there is nothing offensive in being asked wether ur fasting or not…i feel one shud say ‘YES i do FAST’ proudly!..n for others who dont fast widout having a genuine reason…i think they shud aleast feel guilty wen being asked such a question!.

Its not about business…u just come to know manystuffs about others wen u r around them!.
