yes he was the greatest of Allaah(swt's) creation and he is the most beloved to us even more than our families.
but why did Allaah(swt) say this...
“Say (O Muhammad): ‘I am only a man like you. It has been inspired to me that your God is One God (Allaah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.” [al-Kahf 18:110]
And why Did Allaah(swt) say
Say (O Muhammad): “I possess no power over benefit or hurt to myself except as Allaah wills. If I had the knowledge of the Ghayb (Unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth” (al-A’raaf 7:188]

Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghayb (Unseen) except Allaah” (al-Naml 27:65) *

yes he could see some of the unseen but only what Allaah(swt) willed.
