Re: Did ancient people have longer life span?
To tell you the truth we don't have evidence of people being 950 years old.
But also we have no idea when was it.
Muslims needs to learn to make peace with it.
imagine a muslim trying to explain
dulqar nain's wall before umar's era... or Pharaohs dead body in early 1900s. etc
So have questions as questions till you have real answers. Other wise try this it really make things easy
say "I don't know...."
Re: Did ancient people have longer life span?
well to be fair, pollution does increase cellular destruction and those who lived in the days when air and water were more pured, did have a potential of enjoying longer life span from that virtue. Its just that lack of medical science had the opposite effect and people could easily die from simple things malaria and minor infections. The latter was more dominant, hence lower avg life span than today.
Re: Did ancient people have longer life span?
pure air and water will not help even if you managed to escape infections etc and manage to live up to your biological potential. when you turn 60-70 and have no teeth left to chew up the not-so-rich food that you have to work hard every day to obtain. you take a baby and raise him in a bubble with perfect everything, it wont live to be 900 years old.
Re: Did ancient people have longer life span?
I am not saying that one can live for 900 years but under ideal conditions, I think humans could hit a 120 years of average life span
