There shouldn’t be an iota of doubts that these enemies of the state have no other agenda then to destabilize Pakistan. Why would they free hardcore criminals along with their fellow terrorists, and induct them in their group. The terrorist have been creating havoc even in the holy month of Ramadan. Our hearts go out to the families of policemen who lost their lives defending their grounds against these hardened criminals. Peace in the region is subject to eradication of all terrorist groups and that can only happen if all parties concern work together in combating these common enemies. We stand by Pakistan in their quest for peace and condemn the acts of violence against the people and government of Pakistan.

^ after the 19th and 20th amendments the provinces have become quite autonomous. It’s the provincial governments responsibility to maintain law and order in the province.

Remember we have been criticising PMLN in the past for not producing power when they were claiming that the federal government is not helping them. I agree that the previous government failed in law and order, but at least they had the guts to condemn terror and visit the victims affected. Some of their ministers like Bilour and iftikhar hussain paid the price. The way the present government is being run (in a gutless manner and like a headless chicken) it will only embolden the terrorists.

One question: Since provinces are so autonomous now, should KPK consider inviting UN security forces since Pak’s intelligence and army is useless? Remember they could not even guard their own GHQ against attacks. Or better than UN, how about contracting black water type freelance special ops? It would be inline with autonomy?

Using the word autonomy and actually devising policy based upon autonomy are two different things. KPK has same type of Police that the rest of the 3 provinces do, actually KPK police might be a lot more experienced now with all the violence that they have seen over the past 10 years or so.

Right now TTP are at a strategic advantage since they are foot soldiers with latest weapons plus makeshift devices, while any govt. institution in KPK or anywhere else is working with age old machinery and are pretty much sitting targets.

So KPK PTI govt. which is a coalition govt., and like all coalitions require party consensus across partners to devise policy, should be looking at beefing up their police on the lines of SWAT and anti-terrorist force of US /West.

I said this before, get your own weapon free drones, and use them for surveillance. Its not just the US that makes drones. Check this.Tell the TTP that big brother KPK is watching. Collect your own intelligence.
Or pray tell me KPK is autonomous but can’t operate its own drones since its federally owned Airspace secured by PSAF???

Initial reports suggest that the jail staff ran away immediately after the attack started.
Sure this attack is another moral booster for TTP and allied group as they not gonna care being in jail any more

I see blame here shifted from the province to another province to federal and then back to province, but when do we recognize this as a collective national security lapse and do something to prevent this in future.

These provincial and govt people, they arent smart people you are dealing with… The best you can hope for is that they manage to keep themselves alive.

1- why HIGH profile terroriss were kept in a Jail closer to Waziristan .?

2- they they become invisible .. 253 just vanished from a cordoned off area..... Remember last night they were reporting ... they have cordonned off all the area , implemented curfew and had them trapped inside... what happened then ...?

THIS. Country is crying out loud for a counter terrorism policy. But NS has had other things to tackle so far.

The provincial government is working on improving their intelligence, and police force. I do agree that the federal government also has a role but if it fails in that at least the province should improve its working to counter that. At the end of the day the provincial government would have to face the wrath of the people. We have seen what happened to anp in the previous elections.
