Well, i will admit, i am also a clean freak so everything has to be in place and shining.

Well, about my miaan helping me see i have trained him from day 1 of our marriage. He betta clean or else;)

He is a good man. He cleans the bathrooms, takes out the garbage and vaccums without me going after him.

I am glad to read that you help your wife as well. I was only teasing you. You take everything i say to heart. Aihtyaat karo itna kamzoor dil hai kaheen kuch ho na jai;)

Mahnoor, one word of advice for you...never criticize his work around the house. I have seen some desi wives nitpicking their hubbies work and thus discouraging them forever. Whatever he does appreciate and nicely show him how he can improve.

Similarly a chalaak husband could use wifey’s critique as an excuse to not do any chores. Even a more chalaak husband would ‘invent’ such critique for his wife. How, you kids ask? It’s very simple. Let’s say my wife said the following to me:

O’honey could you iron my dupatta for me, we have to leave in 10 minutes and I can’t get it done.

Here is my response:

Sure baby.

Then, I shall proceed with ironing the dupatta on the highest iron setting burning the f’ing thing. Then I’ll say the following:

*O’baby, the iron malfunctioned & burnt your dupatta. *

I’ll keep that dupatta framed on a wall as a souvenir & a discouraging reminder for her.
